Plus - I can't stand Philadelphia. But my wife was born in Phlly - so I need to keep my Philadelpha bashing in check. She is the only good thing to ever come out of Philly.
So back to baseball:
We've lost 4 of the last 5 - giving fuel to the "Brewers are best of the worst (NL Central)" national fire. The Mets are the best in the NL - and the Phillies were my pick for Wild Card - so I stand by my prediction that if the Brewers prevail in the NL central - the road to the WS will go through Gotham and/or the "City of Brotherly Love."

First of all - everyone who wondered why Coco wasn't in for the 9th tonight, you can't do that on the road. Even if you hold 'em: you still have to pitch another inning (no running down the clock in baseball). Did it have to be Turnbow in the 9th - not necessarily - but understandable.
Okay - so I'm not actually hitting the panic button yet: but it is obvious that our offense is to streaky to carry us through the post-season. When you're done reading this post, Ned:
- Tony Gwynn becomes the everyday right fielder - LEADING OFF.
- Ricky Weeks moves to #8 until he gets the K's under control (how about his defense this year - amazingly good)
- Gabe Gross is only a pinch hitter (the best - let him do it)
- When facing a rightly, Jenkins bats 4th (and Prince gets all fastballs)
- Bill Hall moves up and down the line-up - depending on the pitcher (play the numbers)
- When Suppon or Cappy are pitching - they bat 8th (ahead of Counsell or Grafffy).
Ned needs to institute the "Kangaroo Court."
When Ricky pops up with a runner on 3rd and less than two outs - he puts $50 in the coffer.
When Kevin Mench swings at the first pitch after the previous guy was walked - $50.00
When Craig Counsell makes the 1st or 3rd out on the bases - $1000.00 (that has cost us two of these games in my estimate).
At the end of the year, give the coffer to Lynn Sprangers and Brewers Charities.

I don't know if you're the one to give it, but your faithful listeners deserve an explanation for what happened this morning on the show. This is crap. To lose 2 morning icons that have provided so much entertainment for so many people for so long is just BS. They deserve a better send off then they got. I really think you have no clue how many PO'd listeners you've created and how many of us you are going to lose.

Don't know if this was your decision but it was a bad one! The manner in which it was done can not be justified. You or someone needs to talk to loyal listeners. I can only hope the advertisers and sponsors are as upset as the listners.
If the speculation I read is true; Country Western stattion? You have to have lost all, sense of what the morning listner wanted....

This decision was not good and time will definitely put your jobs at risk. Do you realize how many listeners you are losing??? You had every age demographic!
I've been torn but now it is off to Dave and Carol in the morning where they KEEP their employees!

After searching this site and others for answers, I am now just fed up. You may not be the person to send this too...but hopefully you will forward to those who should get this. I realize that Management does not have to explain what they choose to do or not do. But in an industry where you are dealing with the public and your ratings depend on the public, you need to honest and upfront with the public you so depend on to stay in business. The way this was handled on WKTI was a nightmare from a PR standpoint. This company has chosen to portray themselves as a company that does not need or care about their listeners. You have chosen to just Shock and Daze us without any explaination or professionalism. To leave us with open-ended questions, confusion as to what is going on and why, and just plain lack of respect on your part is unprofessional. Your listeners, who in the end pay the salaries of all the management and regular employees deserve better than what they received this morning. Gene's announcement---which I am happy for him, Gino's goodbye---that nobody was ready for, which came across that he was let go, and then off to a commercial and then we get Dan Kyle saying that Gene, Gino and Jenna were gone. Which, as a loyal listener, I took that as they were shown to the door quite offensive. That was a slap in the face to every listener that listens to WKTI. We deserve better. And I am sure that other stations will jump at the chance to treat us better and respect us as adults. It is obvious from this fiasco that your station feels we do not deserve that respect. A honest explaintion would have been nice, either on the air or on this website. Thank you Gene, Gino & Jenna and all their other wonderful daily guests for the laughs...we will miss you during our morning commute. I will look to other stations to try and fill that void. It will be a hard void to fill...
Not sure where the decision came down, but truly we know we have not been told the whole story. It tends to make one think that Bob and Amy saw the writing on the wall as well. Whatever the case, the decision is unbelievable and the way it was handled is unforgivable.

I guess the government aren't the only ones who keep the truth to themselves.We, as loyal listeners deserve better than what we got. So did the departing staff.Some of us have been with the morning team since the begining. Very tacky,almost despicable way of treating fans.
