I think Ellen is the best TV talent in the biz today - peroid. She's doesn't bore us with her politics (Rosie!) or always take the easy "cheap" shot (Leno). She's the real deal.
That is why this segment puzzled me. It is AWESOME. Actually - almost too good to be real.
I'm not suggesting the whole thing was made-up, but I think Gladys was prepped and Ellen knew where she was going.
If anything - I'm even more impressed. Ellen cares about the quality of her show and would not waste our time putting a boring caller on the air.
Either way - I was entertained. How about you?
